ABOUT OUR CLUB


Matamata is situated east of Hamilton, in the Waikato province of the North Island of New Zealand. Matamata has a population of about 6000 people, and is best known for it's dairy farming and horse racing industries. Matamata is also the home of Hobbiton from the movie trilogy "Lord of the Rings".

HOW TO JOIN:

 

Membership is open to men and women. The annual subscription is $105.00 (but the first year's subscription is free). New members are always welcome. Just contact us (see below).

WHY JOIN KIWANIS:

Joining the Kiwanis Club of Matamata gives you the opportunity to put something back in to your local community by helping others. It also gives you the chance to make new friends not only within the club and the Matamata community, but with Kiwanians from other clubs in New Zealand and overseas.

MEETING INFORMATION:

WHEN:

We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.


WHERE: We meet at the Matamata Club (Waharoa Road East).

MEETINGS:

 

Informal socialising is from 6.00 p.m. onwards, a meal from 6.30 - 7.15 p.m., and then meeting business and/or a speaker. Meetings conclude at around 9.00 p.m.
We always have interesting speakers on a variety of topics. We also have regular social outings for members, their partners, and families. Check out the projects page to see some of the projects we undertake.
