We are pleased to inform you of the great success of our 11th Charity Golf Tournament, held at the Clarks Beach Golf Club on March 20, 2005.

With the weather looking after us again, ideal for playing golf, we'd managed to attract just over one hundreds golfers and raise a respectable sum for the Waiau Pa Volunteer & Emergency Services Trust project. A total of approx $9,000 was raised.

After our great success with KTB it was time to focus a bit closer to home and the Club selected to sponsor the Volunteer & Emergency Services Trust. A sum of NZ$5,000 has been donated to the Trust for the purchase of an external defibrillator for the Waiau Pa Volunteer Fire Service. This being a vital peace of equipment for a first response unit.

The remainder of the funds raised, nearly NZ$4,000, will be used to continue our work with the children and disadvantaged in the wider community of Waiau Pa, Clarks Beach, Patumahoe, Pukekohe and Waiuku.

Kiwanis Waiau Pa-Clarks Beach meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. If you are interested in membership or finding out more about the team you have supported for a number of years, feel free to contact the Kiwanis Club of Waiau Pa Clarks Beach for details.
