Club members turned out in force to assist with the day,
cook sausages at the half way point and to sell raffle
tickets.
The Kiwanis Club of Drury is indebted to the Manukau Golf
Club for making the course available, and for the
invaluable help on the day, to the many local businesses,
organizations and individuals who generously donated
thousands of dollars worth of sponsorships and prizes and
to the golfers who turned out on the day to not only play
but to so readily put their hands in their pockets for
the raffles and auction to support such a worthy cause.
The more valuable items donated were auctioned and Philip
Bensemann proved to be an accomplished and humorous
auctioneer for this part of the proceedings.
